Moka Rangers Sports Club is now open at La Promenade, Moka

On 1 June 2026, Moka Rangers Sports Club officially opened its doors to the public at La Promenade, Moka. Born of the coming together of Synergy, a fitness and wellness centre established in 2011, and the Moka Rangers, a coached sports community founded in 2015, the club unites sport, lifestyle, and community under one roof against the mountain backdrop of Moka. Modern, accessible, and built for everyday use, it brings a new kind of sports and lifestyle destination to Mauritius.
This launch marks a further step in ER Group's long-term commitment to Moka. Through ER Property, one of our real estate subsidiaries, and the developer behind Moka City, the Group has spent over 20 years shaping Moka as a connected, sustainable territory built around people, with one purpose: to ignite lifestyles through the places it creates.
At the inauguration, Gilbert Espitalier-Noël, Group CEO of ER Group, spoke about what the opening represents for Moka:
That breadth is built into the facilities. The club offers two fitness rooms, group-class studios, two swimming pools, four covered padel courts, a football and rugby field, a multisport court, tennis courts, and golf facilities. Beyond fitness, it is also a place where people connect, families spend time together, and everyday life gets a little better. La Mi-Temps, the club's restaurant-bar, brings that social dimension to life, alongside a Kids Corner, a Pro Shop, an outdoor playground, a conference room, and event spaces.
Mathias Ritter, General Manager of the club, stated that:
On the sporting side, the club builds on the Moka Rangers' established coaching programme, now spanning more than 10 disciplines, from badminton and fencing to swimming, tennis, and mountain biking. In 2025 alone, 430 members took part in international competitions, and the club recorded more than 9,000 individual participations in national competitions and 11 national records. The new infrastructure gives that programme a home to match its scale, while the former Synergy site at Les Allées d'Helvétia is set to become a medical centre and nursery.
The Moka Rangers Sports Club reflects ER Group’s ambition across three of our main strategic pillars. As a business, it adds a self-financing lifestyle asset to ER Property's portfolio, in line with the Group's Business Leadership focus. As a vibrant community, it strengthens the Synergies that define Moka City's offer. And as a long-term investment in people and place, it embodies the Group's Stewardship commitment to national development and social progress.
