Ecoasis Znz Limited is looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our growing team in Zanzibar, Tanzania.

Part of the Ecoasis regional expansion, this position offers the opportunity to work on innovative energy projects while collaborating closely with our Ecoasis Energy Solutions team in Mauritius.

Based in Zanzibar, the Senior Electrical Engineer will play a key role in the technical development, engineering coordination, supervision and delivery of renewable energy and energy solutions projects.

The position will have a strong focus on:
-Solar Photovoltaic (PV) systems
-Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
-Hybrid energy systems & microgrids
-Electrical infrastructure & backup power systems
-EV charging and other innovative energy solutions

The successful candidate will act as a key technical interface between Ecoasis Znz Limited and Ecoasis Energy Solutions in Mauritius, ensuring that site information, engineering requirements and project data are accurately captured and communicated to support technical proposals, engineering design and project execution.
 

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 6 years of relevant electrical engineering experience

• Professional Engineering registration with the ERB Board

• Proven experience in project supervision and construction monitoring
• Strong technical and hands-on electrical capabilities
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVsyst and MS Project

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Kiswahili

• Valid driving licence

Experience in Solar PV, BESS and renewable energy projects will be a strong advantage.

A Master’s Degree in Renewable Energy, Power Systems or Energy Management, as well as PMP, PRINCE2 or relevant solar industry certifications, would also be advantageous.
