Overview
The role requires strong leadership, analytical, and strategic planning skills to ensure the efficiency and integrity of financial and administrative processes.
Your role
Key Responsibilities
A. Financial Management & Internal Controls
- Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, variance analysis, and forecasting for Superdist and its affiliated companies.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, IAS, and local tax regulations in Mauritius and Madagascar. Implement and maintain internal audit and internal control frameworks to enhance financial integrity and mitigate risks, including drafting and preparing reports with recommendations.
- Develop and oversee risk management strategies to ensure strong governance and operational efficiency.
- Manage cash flow, forex operations, and finance cost optimization to support business needs.
- Supervise the reconciliation of bank accounts, supplier accounts, and intercompany transactions.
- Assist in external audits and liaise with auditors and tax authorities as needed.
- Oversee debtors’ management, ensuring timely collection and credit risk mitigation.
- Monitor stock management processes, ensuring accurate reporting and efficient stock control.
B. Administration
- Oversee administrative functions, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with company policies.
- Provide support for HR-related tasks, including payroll validation, commissions and staff coordination.
- Assist in recruitment and onboarding processes when required.
- Ensure adherence to employment laws and company guidelines.
- Support management in developing a positive work culture and team motivation strategies.
C. Sister Companies & Regional Oversight
- Oversee financial, administrative, and compliance activities for Superdist's affiliated companies in Mauritius and Madagascar.
- Help aligning reporting structures and internal controls across all regional entities to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Support operational decision-making for sister companies, ensuring financial accuracy and regulatory adherence.
D. Strategic Planning & Reporting
- Prepare management accounts and financial reports for review by senior management.
- Develop financial models and KPIs to support strategic decision-making.
- Lead initiatives to improve efficiency, cost reduction, and financial performance within the organization.
Your profile
Key Competencies & Requirements
- Qualifications: ACCA Level 3 (or equivalent) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, internal audit, and administration.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, internal controls, debtors & stock management, and compliance.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to oversee operations across multiple regions.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict reporting deadlines.
- Flexibility to work beyond normal hours during financial closures and critical periods.
