Overview

The Facilities and Maintenance Manager is responsible to oversee the maintenance, safety, and security operations on multiple sites, and to manage the    mentioned teams, whilst ensuring that our premises are safe, compliant, and well maintained.

Your role

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

 

→ Develop and implement strategies for the effective maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds, and equipment

→ Ensure compliance with Safety and Health regulations

→ Supervise the Security, Safety and Health Officer and maintenance staff ensuring that adequate security measures and health and safety protocols are in place across all locations.

→ Develop and maintain emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures and natural disaster response

→ Coordinate regular safety drills and training for employees

→ Conduct regular site inspections to evaluate the conditions of facilities and identify needed improvements or repairs

→ Develop and manage annual budgets for the facilities and safety operations

→ Work with suppliers and contractors to ensure that all work is completed according to specifications

→ Implement sustainability initiatives to improve energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact

→ Communicate and collaborate with other department managers to facilitate optimal operations

→ Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program

→ Foster a culture of safety and awareness among staff and customers

→ Produce regular reports on facilities and safety operations for upper management

 

SKILLS

 

→ Knowledge of health & safety regulations

→ Strong leadership and team management skills

→ Ease in communication at all levels

→ Ability to manage budgets and control costs

Your profile

→ Bachelor's degree in facilities management, business administration, or a related field

→ A minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management with at least 3 years in a leadership role
