Overview

Are you a detail-oriented finance professional with a passion for accuracy and continuous improvement? We are looking for an Accounts Specialist to join our dynamic team and contribute to the effective management of our accounting, financial, and administrative operations.

Your role

Key Responsibilities:

 

Accounting & Finance

 

  • Process and record accounting transactions accurately and timely.
  • Maintain the trial balance and perform account reconciliations.
  • Review and verify supplier invoices and ensure compliance with company procedures.
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Manage invoicing, debtor follow-up, and collections.
  • Process purchase orders, supplier invoices, and payments.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare VAT, TDS, APS, PAYE, social security contributions, and assist with income tax returns.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of management accounts, statutory accounts, budgets, and budget variance reports.
  • Maintain fixed asset registers and cash position statements.
  • Perform payroll processing and related banking instructions.
  • Assist with costing analysis and client accounting assignments.
  • Act as a backup for the Accountant when required.

 

Administration

 

  • Maintain accurate filing systems and confidential records.
  • Provide administrative support across departments.
  • Assist with project follow-up and status reporting.
  • Prepare reports and manage documentation.
  • Respond to internal and external queries professionally and efficiently.
  • Support colleagues and undertake additional duties as required.
Your profile

Profile & Qualifications

 

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, ACCA Level 1, or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in an accounting or finance environment.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with accounting software would be an advantage.
  • Excellent written and spoken English and French.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
